May 2008 Workshop
On Wednesday 14th May 2008, The SKILL! Programme launched in the City of London with a one-day workshop for 120 students aged 14-16 from across the capital.
Speakers at this inaugural event included Yo! Sushi founder Simon Woodroffe OBE, serial entrepreneur and Make Your Mark With a Tenner founder Oli Barrett, and youth motivation coach David McQueen.
Every student engaged in sessions focussing on idea generation, effective communication, the importance of networking and then practised their presentation skills in the "Tigers' Cage" pitching session. Each activity focussed on the core theme of enterprise.
