Visionpath Education and The SKILL! Programme were created by young entrepreneur Patrick Philpott, who started his first business at the age of 16, running networking events in his local area in Hertfordshire & Essex.
The idea for the SKILL! Programme of workshops originated from a talk Patrick gave in a North London school where students were asked to participate in a number of activities centred on the theme of enterprise. Seeing students struggling and demonstrating a clear lack of essential enterprise and communication skills, Patrick was encouraged to develop a series of workshops to engage large numbers of students in key skills that are vital to future employability.
Patrick’s extensive experience of event organisation and knowledge of education from a student’s perspective have informed the SKILL! Programme's development, thus creating a means of engaging students in vital skills that will not only give them a head start in the wider world post-education, but will boost their ability to think independently and communicate effectively in the remainder of their education careers.
